There is no greater love in the elephant herd, than the displays of maternal love. The interaction of mother and calf is one of the most touching displays of love I have ever observed. There is something about seeing such a mammoth creature caring so tenderly for her calves. They are very attentive mothers; leading the family with compassion and wisdom.
